The AC induction motor should be pushing 288 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque--enough for a 3.7 second 0-60 mph time. With a mix of spirited and normal driving, the Roadster should be able to carry you a distance of 245 miles on a single charge, which takes about 3.5 hours from empty to full using the Tesla Home Connector at 240 Volts and 70 Amps.The Tesla Roadster 2.5 is coming in for the 2011 model year and is available for order now.
