Natural Heritage

Natural Heritage
Preserving the natural patrimony is the most inexpensive and efficient environmental economics. The term natural heritage derives from the French "patrimoine naturel", the totality of natural assets, including those of historical, cultural or scenic beauty. It give us understanding the importance of natural environment: where we came from, what we do and how we will be. Our lives are connected to the landscapes of our daily lives, as well as we keep the memories of places we went. The destruction of these landscapes cause irreversible environmental damage, and are an insult to our memory, causing loss of quality of life.

The 2012 Ford Focus Electric

All-Electric

The Focus Electric gets all of its power from an advanced state-of-the-art 23kWh, high-voltage, lithium-ion battery system, which means you’ll never need a drop of gas. It features an advanced liquid heating and cooling system to regulate battery temperature and help maximize battery life, so you can get the most miles out of each charge.
In fact, you’ll get a Best-in Class mile range of 76 miles on each charge. The all-electric motor is designed to help reduce energy loss and heat generation while reducing your carbon footprint.
To charge the high-voltage, lithium-ion battery system quickly, you can have an optional 240-volt charging station installed. The 2012 Ford Focus Electric has a best-in-class 240 volt charge time. The vehicle also comes with a standard 120-volt convenience cord, which allows you to charge by using a standard 120-volt household outlet.

Over 100 MPGe

The 2012 Focus Electric is the first vehicle from Ford to be powered by electricity alone from a state-of-the-art battery system. It is the first five-passenger all-electric vehicle with a combined fuel efficiency rating of over 100 MPGe.* This means you can go just about anywhere guilt-free.
The Focus Electric also features regenerative braking, which allows it to capture over 90% of the energy normally lost through friction brakes and recycles it to recharge the battery.
*EPA-estimated 110 city/99 hwy/105 combined MPGe. MPGe is the EPA equivalent measure of gasoline fuel efficiency for electric mode operation.

High Voltage

The Focus Electric gets all of its power from a state-of-the-art 23kWh, high-voltage, lithium-ion battery system stored in the rear of the vehicle. It features an advanced liquid heating and cooling system to regulate battery temperature and help maximize battery life, so you can get the most miles out of each charge.

Art of the Recharge
Focus Electric features remarkable technologies like regenerative braking to help you achieve maximum energy-efficiency. During braking, the system is able to capture more than 90 percent of the energy normally lost through friction brakes and recycles it to recharge the battery.

Eco-Conscious Interior

For Focus Electric, eco-conscious comes standard. The cloth seat fabric is made with REPREVE® fiber, produced from 100% recycled materials, and the cushions are made of bio-based foam derived from plant seed oils.
REPREVE is a registered trademark of Unifi, Inc.

Cockpit Interior
The Focus Electric, comfortably seating 5 passengers, is crafted with premium quality materials and details like low seating, easy-to-reach controls and piano black touches.
The MyFord Touch® emotive instrument cluster provides a unique visual of blue butterflies on the right cluster screen, which represent the surplus range beyond the point of the next charging station. The more butterflies on the screen, the greater the surplus. In selecting this visual, Ford designers were inspired by the concept of the "butterfly effect," in which a small change can have an enormous impact.
With a standard Audio System by Sony®, nine speakers and HD Radio™, you can enjoy listening to crystal-clear digital audio and high-quality sound. You also get the convenience of iTunes® tagging.* If you hear a song playing on HD Radio that you like, simply press the Tag button. The song info will be transferred to your iPod® the next time you plug it in your car, so you can purchase it later from the iTunes® store.
